| General note | This article is an attempt to see the human features of relationship which will facilitate an effective divine-huan relationship. Every such relationship is initiated by God but demands cooperation from the human agent. The Pericope, Mathew 20:25-34, is used as a paradigm to show the needed human features in a relationship with the divine. The author argue for the relational significance of 'following' the Lord, pre-knowledge about Jesus, Crying out, rebuke, prayer for mercy, perseverance and the request made by the blind men. Each such feature is subordinated by seeing their relational significance both in the Old and New Testaments. The arguments are based on linguistic, semantic, cultural, inter-textual and intra textual analysis. |
