The word council of churches in its declaration "Together Towards Life" (TTL2012) Grounds mission as mission from the argins in the triune God (Misso Dei). While it is important to separates it from its entanglement with colonialism, we should at the same time ot overlook the Contributing factor of the people as the human subject of the Christianization Process. This paper argues that there is a need to decolonize the self-understanding of the 19th century missionaries even in the critical discourse about mission history.
