This paper is an attempt to highlight and read the implicit concept of mission in a synchronic reading of the book of Deuteronomy. However, the Old Testament is not devoid of the missionary zeal. To understand the missionary orientation in the Old Testament, we need to see whether it teaches the universal salvific will of God.
