Jesus Christ who is the sacrament of the Father is the visibility of the mercy and compassion of God the Father who is described int eh Old Testament as rich in Mercy. Jesus who became man revealed His Father through his life and in his ministry by words, actions and behavior. the same he demanded from his disciples for Christian discipleship is a call to be merciful and compassionate towards the poor, marginalized, oppressed, and the vulnerable. The church, the community of the Disciples of Christ, is best expressed, revealed and identified through her works of mercy and compassion as constantly taught by the church. The sacred ministers are the ones who dispenses the mercy and compassion of christ and His Father. The article sheds light on these aspects of the Mercy of God
