Practical authority (having authority over actions such as parental, social , political, economic, religious authority) and epistemic authority ( having authority over beliefs) are considered contrastive based on their functions. A general misconception is that practical authority does not require epistemic authority for its function-imposing duties on the subordinates. However, the writer arguers, when the belief system of practical authorities is epistemically contaminated, then it can influence certain functions of practical authorities such as imposing duties on the subordinates and decision making. The author calls such epistemically contaminated beliefs as hued-beliefs. Such beliefs are gained by hued-perception the perception that is contaminated by prejudices, biases, insensitivity, and epistemic blindness due to one's own sutuatedness. Normally defeaters can help practical authorities to overcome their hued-beliefs in their Situatedness. However, it becomes a herculean task to overcome their hued-beliefs for those who are in the state of meta-ignorance being ignorantly of one's own ignorance. in the state of meta- ignorance, hued-beliefs get insulated by pseudo-justifications and pseudo-defeaters. Gaining epistemic authority, as Lothar Lies did, along with practical authority can help practical authorities overcome their hued-belief in their situatedness and even in the state of meta-blindness
