The concept of Synodality is deeply rooted in the scriptural perspectives of the assembly of the people of God walking nd journeying together. The idea of the people of God stands at the center stage of Biblical theology. Thus one understands that the concept of people of God is the foundational principle of the Old Testament in consonance with the idea of election and covenant. This article intends to analyze the theme of synodality from the old Testament perspective. the first part of the article underscores the evolution of the idea of the people of God in the course of salvation history, and the second part highlights the features of this people o God which forms the basis and model for a synodal church of today
