The Gospel of Mark contains the idea of "serving" in 10 : 42-25. The servant songs of Isaiah (Is. 42:1-4, 49:1-6, 50:4-9 , and 52 : 13 - 53 :12) is another passage in Isaiah that describes the one who suffered and died in order to save us. This study's primary goal is to investigate whether or not there are intertextual relationships between the two texts. It further aims to investigate the term "abad" in Isaiah and "diakonos" in Mark to further interpret the concept of serving in Mark in light of Isaiah
