In this article, the divinity of Jesus is highlighted by identifying the many ways Jesus is characterized in the book of John. This article then contributes to evangelical theology of the divinity of Christ. In addition it also contributes to the methodology that could be used in Evangelical biblical interpretation. Characterization from narrative criticism is taken here as an interpretive tool to show how Jesus is portrayed as divine in the book of John
