Most of the preachers take it mistakenly that postmodernity is too philosophical or technical or technical to be discussed in nonacademic circles. However, the fact is that church members, in spite of their ignorance about some popular postmodern philosophers like Derrida, Lyotard and Foucault, they do operate postmodernity in their daily lives. There are contemporary issues in the postmodern time as the result of the ill effects of modernity project that continue to affect socio-cultural and religious life. A preacher needs to be aware and should address such issues as they are shaping the hermeneutics as well as affecting the listening behavior of the congregation. By ignoring these issues, preaching may become irrelevant to them.
